FM Logistic celebrated the symbolic groundbreaking ceremony for its new logistics center located in the El Ruiseñor Sur Industrial Estate in Guadalajara. The event was attended by the president of Castilla-La Mancha, Emiliano García-Page; the mayor of Guadalajara, Ana Guarinos; and the president of the Parliament of Castilla-La Mancha, Pablo Bellido; as well as managers of FM Logistic and its partners in this project: Batilogistic and NG Concept.
The future logistics platform, whose execution has been entrusted to NG Concept, a construction company belonging to the FM Group, is set to become a benchmark in sustainability, efficiency and safety in the Spanish logistics sector. The project will be developed on a 60,077 m² plot of land, and in this first phase the complete construction of the facility is planned, which will occupy a surface area of 36,180 m², including 886 m² for offices. Construction work began on April 1, 2025, and the facility is scheduled to start operations on July 1, 2026.
During the event, Emiliano García-Page, President of the Junta de Comunidades de Castilla-La Mancha, highlighted, “We have managed to ensure that 75% of the large companies that arrived ten years ago continue to grow and have stayed in Castilla-La Mancha. In our Autonomous Community, six jobs a day have been created in logistics since 2015. We are committed to business and we want to have a good business sector“.
For her part, Ana Guarinos, Mayor of Guadalajara, said: “The laying of this first stone is a commitment to the future of Guadalajara and to innovation and sustainability. FM Logistic is a company committed to the environment and the environment and this platform will be an example of this, we are delighted that they are landing in the city“.
Pablo Bellido, president of the Parliament of Castilla-La Mancha, also spoke and said: “I would like to thank FM Logistic for its commitment to Guadalajara. Years ago we said that Guadalajara was a long time without industrial parks but now we see that it is not lagging behind. This decade the growth of the Henares Corridor has been very strong. The regional government has bet on public investment and the city councils are doing a great job“.
In addition, Marta Simón, General Manager of FM Logistic Ibérica; Christophe Menivard, Chief Operating Officer Europe of FM Logistic; and Gilles Faure, CEO of Batilogistic, took the floor to highlight the Group’s commitment to sustainable growth and strategic investment in the region.

“The decision to launch this new platform is a clear testament to how strategic the Iberian Peninsula is for FM Logistic. With its unique position as a gateway between Europe, North Africa and Latin America, Spain plays a vital role in regional and international supply chains. This investment reflects our confidence in the long-term potential of the region and our ambition to grow with it,” added Christophe Menivard.
A state-of-the-art center for sustainability and safety
The new warehouse will be designed with the goal of achieving LEED Gold certification, meeting Factory Mutual’s HRP (High Risk Protection) standards and Tapa B requirements (certification for building security parameters against intrusion). While these certifications will be processed after delivery, all design and construction decisions will follow their requirements from the start of the project.
Main sustainable features of the building:
- Recycled, renewable and locally sourced materials
- Reduction of energy consumption by 20 to 25% and installation of meters for exhaustive monitoring of energy consumption.
- Rainwater collection and reuse tank, with a capacity of 30,000 liters, for uses that do not require drinking water, such as cleaning floors or supplying toilets.
Characteristics of the warehouse:
Safety measures:
- Smoke detection systems, automatic sprinklers, fireproof doors and walls
“All our warehouse designs prioritize respect for the environment without sacrificing efficiency, and this project is an example of how intelligent construction can drive the logistics of the future,” said Gilles Faure.
