FM completes the acquisition of Schäflein

FM Logistic has announced the completion of the acquisition of a majority stake in the German logistics group Schäflein. The transaction, signed on August 31, 2026, has received all necessary regulatory approvals, notably that of the German Federal Cartel Office (Bundeskartellamt), granted on June 19, 2026.

This milestone marks a new phase in the alignment between FM Logistic and Schäflein—two family-owned companies that share the same entrepreneurial culture, a long-term vision, and a firm commitment to operational excellence. This partnership paves the way for the concrete implementation of their initial synergies.

With this acquisition, FM Logistic establishes a presence in Germany—Europe’s largest logistics market—alongside a family-owned company renowned for its expertise in industrial logistics and transport. Schäflein operates a network of more than 35 facilities across Germany, Austria, and Poland. The closing of the deal enables both groups to immediately begin leveraging their combined capabilities around three priorities:

This combination will also enrich the solutions offered to industrial clients in markets where FM Logistic is already established, while supporting the expansion of Schäflein’s network into new German logistics hubs (Ruhr, Leipzig).
