Acting to accelerate the evolution of the supply chain

Beyond the ongoing evolution of its own model, FM Logistic is actively working to transform the logistics sector as a whole. Leading this major shift means holding a strong vision and taking action to guide the entire industry towards more sustainable and human-centered practices.

For several years, FM Logistic has been advocating for the concept of slow logistics: a model that favors environmental and social efficiency over speed at all costs. The company promotes a controlled slowdown in delivery times for certain products, favoring low-emission transport modes, slower vehicles, flow pooling and localised delivery points.

These are concrete levers that help decarbonize the supply chain.

This stance, regularly championed by Jean-Christophe Machet, echoes the manifesto for a frugal and desirable supply chain developed by The France Supply Chain by ASLOG association. It also translates into FM Logistic’s support for pioneers who are pushing the industry forward. In 2024, the jury of the Top Logistics CSR Award of which FM Logistic was a member, granted the Boldness Prize to Skipper Groupe, inventor of the slow logistics model. This family-owned company has had the courage to challenge the dominant model to promote a more frugal and virtuous approach to logistics.
